Our guest speaker for the May 14th Foothills meeting will be Pat Hopton, past president of Rabun Chapter TU (2012 & 2013). Pat retired from a career with the U.S. Forest Service a few years ago and was well known to Foothills TU'ers for his involvement with trout stream structures on the Chattahoochee National Forest.
We aren't exactly sure who coined the phrase "Dark Thirty" when it comes to trout fishing in north Georgia but there's a good chance it originated somewhere in the Rabun TU chapter. Since his retirement, Pat has become the expert on fishing that magical time of the day, dark thirty and will be presenting this month's Foothills program on "Why, Where and How" to take advantage of this great fishing opportunity. This will be a great program and we hope you'll make an effort to join us. Bring a friend!
