The Georgia Foothills and Gold Rush chapters of Trout Unlimited head up a
group of veterans at the VA clinic at Oakwood, Ga. The current program
is building fly rods for the winter months. Other programs are
fly tying and fly fishing. The program is all under the umbrella of the
National Healing Waters Program for our vets.
Project Healing Wasters is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled
active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly
fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
